The White Rose Forest partnership is inviting everyone in North and West Yorkshire to help shape the long-term plan for tree planting and management across the region.
Due to be published next summer, the White Rose Forest Strategic Plan 2025-50 will set out the vision, aspirations and targets for tree and woodland establishment and management in North and West Yorkshire over the next 25 years.
Members of the public, local community groups and businesses in North and West Yorkshire are invited to read the draft Summary White Rose Forest Strategic Plan and complete a short survey before Tuesday 28th January.
The White Rose Forest is the Community Forest for North and West Yorkshire, a partnership organisation supported by local and regional government as well as environmental charities, businesses and community groups. We plant trees where they are needed the most to benefit our communities and nature, and our work helps to support and grow the network of trees and woodland across the region.
The White Rose Forest Strategic Plan (2025-50) will be the long-term strategic document governing development of the White Rose Forest and providing the overarching tree and woodland strategy for North and West Yorkshire. It will be delivered through a series of five-year action plans, which will provide more detail on funding, delivery programmes, specific actions and interim targets.
