Landscapes for Water and Green Streets© are the two priority tree planting programmes supported by the White Rose Forest partnership in North and West Yorkshire.
You can find out more about these programmes as well as our current projects below.
Landscapes for Water
The Landscapes for Water programme provides a strategic approach to natural flood management in North and West Yorkshire and focuses on the creation of new woodland in key river valleys or catchments to help reduce flood risk for communities further downstream.
Current Landscapes for Water project:
Natural flood management support for landowners in the River Aire valley
We are working with landowners in the River Aire valley to provide fully funded natural flood management (NFM) interventions that will help manage and reduce flood risk further down stream as far as Leeds and provide wider social and environmental benefits for the area.
Green Streets© is focused on integrating tree planting into the planning of urban areas and transport corridors to create a greener and healthier environment for us all in our towns and cities.
